Foundation Funds and Initiatives
 We invite you to join us in our mission of service by supporting one of many funds designated for a specific area of care. Some of our more notable funds include:
Mercy Healthcare Foundation General Fund Supports programs that fulfill Mercy’s mission to improve the health of our communities as specific needs arise within the organization. Mercy Hospice Provides compassionate care and comfort to those who are terminally ill and very near the end of their lives. Under the direction of a physician, Hospice uses sophisticated methods of pain and symptom control that enables patients to live their remaining life alert and pain-free, nourished by the support of loved ones. Contributions to this fund help Mercy provide for the needs of both patient and family during this poignant time. Capital Equipment and Education Fund Provides support for the acquisition of new medical technology, helping Mercy keep pace with new procedures and services. David S. Mattei Mission Fund Named after a well-respected administrator at Mercy Hospital, this fund serves the emergency financial needs of Mercy associates/volunteers and their families. The fund provides financial assistance for resources such as food, medication and transportation in times of crisis. The Daniel J. Gorczyk Memorial Fund Established by the family of Daniel J. Gorczyk and named in his memory, this fund supports families faced with the sudden loss of a child. The Mercy Healthcare Foundation administers more than 50 specialized funds that support staff education, scholarships, specific care areas and memorial tributes. |
